Starting to Gather

2003 BONNIE BLUE BALL
Folks began to gather in preparation for the 2003 Bonnie Blue Ball sponsored by the Gustav Hoffmann SCV Camp #1838. The evening saw over 100 participants, mostly in period dress and uniforms of the Confederacy of 1861. The dancing was also classic period dances including the Virginia Reel.

Guests arriving into the past.

How grand everyone looks.

Socializing while waiting for the music.

Classic Lone Star Grey uniform.

Let the Fun Begin.

Preparing to start the Virginia Reel.

Here they go.

What a Ball, what an occassion.

Had the word spread enough and had the people been aware of how good this was going to be, there would have been hundreds of more attendees.

Next year should be a really large event for the 2004 Southern Historical Conference and Bonnie Blue Ball..

The culmination of the Conference. Who can ever forget the indomitable HK Edgerton?
